Therefore, the IEP team looks at the direction - optimal for both - educating your child with children without disabilities. Special education is a set of services, not a specific place for your child. The services your child needs to achieve near and far goals along with their use will be determined. For most children, the general education class will be the preferred environment, but there are a variety of options available, including special day classes.
